Thank you for considering being a site for our Fall 2024/Spring 2025 seasons. Completing this application indicates your intent to become a Girls on the Run team for the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 season. Please complete and update the following information.

Site Liaison responsibilities:

The Site Liaison’s role is to facilitate the smooth implementation of the program by serving as a link between coaches, participants, parents, and GOTR.

The Site Liaison must be a school/site staff member or parent. The Site Liaison does not have to be present during GOTR practices but must introduce themselves to the coaches before the start of the season and be available for extra support. GOTR communicates primarily via email, so the Site Liaison must have an open email account that they check regularly.

Listed below are the responsibilities of the Site Liaison: 

Recruit three coaches for the site.

Secure bi-weekly practice space for GOTR: outdoor location, inclement weather location, meeting location, and access to restrooms. 

Distribute registration materials to girls in appropriate grades

Meet with coaches before the start of the season to provide on-site orientation and be available throughout the season to provide extra support if needed.

Help coaches send weekly emails to parents/guardians about the program

For Scholarship Sites: Collect registration forms and fees, review them for accuracy, and complete the checklist to verify the completion of information on registration forms.

Follow up with families if necessary, and enter registration forms and fees promptly to the Pinwheel site.

GOTR Council responsibilities: GOTR supports program sites by coordinating the following logistics:

Assisting Site Liaisons to recruit coaches for sites

Screening, training, and certifying of all new coaches

Onboarding of all returning coaches

Coordinating registration with Site Liaisons 

Implementing fundraisers to award scholarships to girls and working to provide additional resources needed for a successful season, such as shoes and clothing.

Providing program curriculum and materials

Providing program shirts and water bottles to each participant

Providing a $150 reimbursement per team (15 girls) to coaches to be used for snacks and extra supplies

Communicating with coaches through the Coach Communication email.

Planning, organizing, and executing the Girls on the Run 5k race, materials, awards, etc.

Providing liability insurance that covers all participants, coaches, and additional GOTR-trained volunteers

Screening, registering, and assigning Running Buddies to program site locations
