Thank you for your interest in starting a Girls on the Run team at your school or community site!

Community sites are teams not based at a school and are open to any and all girls in the grade levels of the team. Please fill in the details about your site / school below with as much information as you have available.

Spring 2025 at a glance:

WHAT: 16 GOTR Lessons delivered over 10 weeks, with our evidence-based curriculum, inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident while creatively integrating fitness and running.
WHO: Typically 8-20 girls, with a minimum of 6 girls and maximum of 20 per team. You may have more than one team at a school / site if each team has at least 3 dedicated coaches. If you will have both a GOTR and H&S team at your site, separate site applications must be completed!
WHO ELSE: 2-3 volunteer coaches (must be at least 18 years old, max. of 5 coaches per team) who want to have a fun, rewarding experience while making a difference in the lives of young girls. Coaches do not have to be runners or athletes! Our council can provide materials to assist with coach recruitment as needed.
WHEN: Two (2) 90-minute sessions (can be shortened to 75min, if needed) on non-consecutive days, before or after school.
WHERE: An indoor and/or outdoor location for your team to safely meet and run/walk/jog laps. For community sites, be sure to have a plan for inclement weather.

We provide a play-by-play curriculum that coaches use for each session, plus all materials for the season, including: girls' journals, official GOTR t-shirt, 5K medals, etc. to help your season run as smoothly as possible.
