Packet Pick-Up Packet pick-up is for 5K Buddies, community runners and sparkle runners. At packet pick-up you will receive your race bib and 5K t-shirt. - Friday, Nov. 10 from 4-6 PM at Walnut Creek Y

Sunday, Nov. 12 from 12:30-1:45 PM Lauridsen Amphitheater at Water Works Park
GOTR Participants and coaches DO NOT have items to be picked up at packet pick-up. GOTR participants will receive their race day materials from their coach on Sunday. You may have someone else pick up your packet. No early packet pick-up is available. Merchandise will be available at both packet pick-up on Friday and at the 5K on Sunday starting at 12:30 PM.

Race Day Information -
Fun Zone area opens at 12:30 PM. Race officially starts at 2:00 PM.
- The race is not officially timed. If you would like an exact time make arrangements to use a timing device.
- Additional food items will be available for purchase at the 5K.

There is no seating at Water Works Park for spectators. If you need seating, please bring a lawn chair.

Parking
All parking will take place at Bell Avenue Business Center (1901 Bell Ave, Des Moines, IA 50315). Shuttle busses will take you into Water Works Park. Plan to arrive early and figure in time for heavy traffic and parking. Shuttles begin at 12:15 PM.
No event parking will be allowed at Water Works Park or Gray's Lake. Handicap parking will be located off of George Flagg Pkwy.

Meeting/Starting Information -
GOTR Participants, 5K Buddies and Coaches should plan to meet their team at their designated team flag. Flags will be located in the Team Zone.

The start will be a wave start by GOTR team.
- 5K Buddies will report to the starting line with their GOTR participant and their team.

Sparkle Runners will check-in at the GOTR Flag between the team zone and fun zone. Volunteers will help pair you with a participant. If all girls have buddies, you will complete the 5K while cheering and encouraging all participants along the route.

Community participants who are affiliated with a GOTR participant or team (sibling, friend, teacher, etc.) are welcome to start with that GOTR team. Community participants who are not affiliated with a team, are welcome to start in any wave of their choice. We encourage you to high-five, smile, wave and encourage all the athletes on the course.

Route The 5K will start and finish on the north side of the amphitheater. The route will take participants through the Water Works Park Arboretum and around Gray's Lake. |

Cheer Signs
If you purchased a customized cheer signs, they will be placed on the 5K course on Nov. 12. Cheer signs will be available for pick-up from the registration tent at the 5K starting at 3:30 PM. After the 5K they will be available for pick-up from the Walnut Creek Y starting Monday, Nov. 13 at noon. |
