Did you know that by 4th grade, many girls start dropping out of sports, and by age 14, they quit at twice the rate of boys? ? I am participating in the Denver Colfax Marathon Relay this May as a SoleMate with Girls on the Run to encourage young girls to build confidence, strength and resilience through running. My journey with Girls on the Run began as a coach in Philadelphia, and since moving to Denver, I’ve had the joy of coaching for four seasons. Now, I’m honored to serve as a member of the Associate Board, continuing to support this incredible program and its mission.
Girls on the Run empowers 3rd–8th graders through a fun, experience-based curriculum that integrates running, helping them build confidence, develop healthy habits, and cultivate lifelong skills. Training for this event has reminded me of the importance of setting goals, pushing through challenges, and showing up for something bigger than myself.
By supporting my journey, you’re helping more girls access this transformative program, regardless of financial barriers, so they can dream big, run strong, and grow into confident, empowered individuals. Thank you for being part of this mission with me! 💜🏃♀️
