"As young girls, our GOTR team provided a safe haven to bond and support one another. It helped strengthen our self-confidence, and it helped develop a strong sense of purpose at a time we really needed it. This program showed us we weren’t alone on this journey and that together, we could get through anything."
(Quinn and Shivani started GOTR as 3rd graders and continued through middle school. During the pandemic, they stepped up to become volunteer coaches in 11th and 12th grade. Both graduated with high honors and are now college freshmen!)
It is stories like these that inspire us to continue providing inclusive, intentional programming to girls across Hampton Roads. Much like our girls, we strive to dream bigger, break boundaries, and boldly carve new paths.
