EmBe Fall 2024 Volleyball League

All skill levels are invited to participate in our

recreational league for youth in grades 3 - 6 

• Our league is broken into two divisions: 3rd - 4th grades and 5th - 6th grades (participants are to play in the division of their current grade level).
• Teams will be organized based on grade level entering the 2023-2024 school year and, when possible, by the school they attend.
• EmBe reserves the right to mix players from different schools if needed to form teams.  
• EmBe will do it's best to accommodate special quests, but preferred placement is not guaranteed.
• Each team will be led by two volunteer coaches and meet one day each week for a one hour practice or clinic. 
• Practices are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursdays between 6:00 pm - 8:45 pm. Practices will take place at EmBe Downtown, EmBe South and various elementary school gyms in the Sioux Falls School District. If your child's team is without two volunteer coaches, the team will not be able to participate in our league. 
• Games are held on Saturdays (Sept 16, Sept 30, Oct 7, Oct 28) at the Avera Human Performance Center between 8:00 am - 2:30 pm or 12:30 pm - 7:00pm. We will host an optional family fun day on October 14.
• Tournament will be held on November 11.
  
• Recreational play is emphasized while regular volleyball rules are followed.
• All players are required to wear non-marking tennis shoes. Kneepads are encouraged, but not required.
• Each participant will receive a team t-shirt for game days and a season end medal.

Fall League practices will begin the week of September 4, 2023

EmBe and Kairos Elite Volleyball Club with Avera Sports have collaborated to bring a greater volleyball experience to youth of all ages! Kairos coaches provide skill training for all levels with choreographed drills at weekly practices in preparation for Saturday's game. Volunteer coaches are provided training materials and practice plans for the entire season.
