Girls on the Run Greater Sacramento
Anyone who has been to a Girls on the Run 5K knows that it is unlike any other running event. It is a celebration of and for the girls who are completing a 10 week season of Girls on the Run programming. By the day of the 5K, their enthusiasm is so unbridled that they are running around before the race! Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, bling their bib and get their face painted, and gather with their teammates to hold hands as they head to the starting line. Our 5K is a non-competitive event that will bring a smile to your face! You will be so glad you joined us!
Every GOTR girl is required to have a Running Buddy accompany her at the 5K. A Running Buddy is an individual designated by the council or by the parent/guardian to complete the 5K alongside a program participant during the 5K event, for the entire duration of the course. Running Buddies ensure the safety of the girl and support and encourage her throughout the entire 5K course.
Reminder - girls who are registered for the season are already registered for the 5K. Running Buddies and community runners still need to register.

- 5K starts promptly at 9:00 am. Packet Pickup, Bling Your Bib and Face Painting will begin at 7:30 am.
- This year's 5K will be held at Land Park in Sacramento.
