I have the privilege of coaching Girls on the Run Teams since 2019, and one thing remains true, season after season -- my work with our girls on our teams is the absolute highlight of my day, practice after practice. My own daughter, Fiona, was a participant as well, and is eagerly counting down the days until she is old enough to be a true Junior Coach.
Each season, we meet our girls, and in many cases, they meet one another for the first time, often a little uncertain, often a little quiet, but very quickly, we can watch them come out of their shells, and let their Inner Star shine. Some days are cloudy, but they learn that is okay, and they learn to look for ways to help other girls when clouds cover their stars. They set goals, and work towards their goal, learning to balance their lives and make healthy choices, both physically and mentally. Girls on the Run matters, and it makes a difference.
This year, I am running on the SoleMates relay team for the Delaware and Lehigh RaceFest on November 10. Your contribution can help me support an ENTIRE TEAM. Girls on the Run of Lehigh and Pocono has a tremendous challenge in helping girls navigate their world, especially now. Please help me make sure NO girls is turned away, and help us support all girls by growing our region.
