This year, I am taking on the challenge of climbing two Colorado fourteeners back to back—a physical and mental test of resilience, determination, and grit. Every step I take up those mountains represents the journey so many girls face in discovering their strength, finding their voice, and realizing their limitless potential. I am dedicating this climb to support Girls on the Run because I believe every girl deserves to know how powerful she truly is.
Girls on the Run is more than just a running program—it's a transformative experience that empowers girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident. Through lessons that foster self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and peer-to-peer leadership, the program equips girls with the skills to navigate life's challenges with courage and compassion. Their vision is a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
For me, climbing these mountains is a symbolic reminder of what it takes to overcome obstacles: resilience to keep moving forward, a strong will to push through tough moments, and the determination to reach new heights. This mirrors the heart of Girls on the Run—helping girls rise above doubts and fears to embrace who they are and what they can achieve.
