On November 2, I will be running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon with Girls on the Run NYC! Girls on the Run is a national non-profit organization that uses running and physical activity as a tool to empower young girls (typically between third and eighth grade) by teaching them life skills like emotional management, conflict resolution, and self-esteem building through a structured curriculum, ultimately culminating in a celebratory 5K race at the end of each season; the program aims to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident by fostering social, emotional, and physical development through fun, interactive lessons.
Running has been a constant in my life, seeing me through different phases of growing up as a girl. It has been a source of confidence, healing, and strength—helping me push past doubts and discover what my body is capable of. Now more than ever, it is crucial to empower young girls to trust themselves, use their voices, and take up space in the world. Running is a powerful way to show them that they are strong, resilient, and unstoppable. By running the NYC Marathon with Girls on the Run, I hope to help more girls realize their potential and embrace the limitless possibilities ahead of them.
