If you've met me you probably know that I'm a runner! But growing up I assumed that the mile in gym was all I'd ever jog. I never thought I'd be able to run a whole 5k one day, then a half, and then eventually a marathon. My running journey has been extraordinarily empowering, and led me to incredible places, moments, and opportunities. And I'm so excited to build this page in support of a new opportunity - working with the Girls on the Run Philly chapter to support girls starting their own path into running. Girls on the Run teaches life skills through dynamic lessons and running games, and culminates with a celebratory 5K run. I have helped hand out medals to girls as they complete their runs, and I can tell you that it is incredibly powerful to see them realize that they can and did just run 3.1 miles.
