From a young age, having faced body shaming, my primary desire was to become strong and healthy, regardless of how my body appeared. Growing up in a modest household, access to a gym or formal coaching was limited. I wasn’t naturally athletic or a runner, but running was a simple, accessible way for me to work towards a stronger, healthier body—requiring just a good pair of shoes. This marked the beginning of my running journey with a friend, and I haven’t looked back since. Running not only transformed my physical health but also instilled in me the confidence and resilience to overcome challenges.
In recent years, I have been fortunate to give back by coaching the GOTR Team in my hometown in the Bay Area. Additionally, since 2021, I’ve served on the Associate Board of Girls on the Run Bay Area (GOTRBA). Their mission deeply resonates with me, and I’m committed to helping inspire and empower girls to unlock their limitless potential, pursue their dreams, and lead active, fulfilling lives.
I invite you to join me in expanding the reach of the confidence-building GOTRBA program. Your support can help empower more girls to become healthy, joyful, and self-assured. Please consider making a donation or reaching out to me about volunteer opportunities in the Bay Area.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
