I first participated in Girls on the Run as a girl, and the experience had a lasting impact on me. It was one of the first places I learned that running could be fun, empowering, and a way to build confidence. Since then, running has become a huge part of my life. I’ve completed multiple marathons, and the strength, resilience, and joy I first discovered in GOTR are what keep me going through every mile.
Now, I’m proud to give back as a coach. Watching the girls I coach find their voices, support each other, and cross the finish line (literally and figuratively!) is an incredibly meaningful experience. I’m taking on the 14er Challenge because I believe deeply in the mission of Girls on the Run—to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident. I want to support this program however I can so even more girls can have access to the lessons, community, and empowerment GOTR offers.
