Ailin’s Girls On The Run Fundraiser 2024 to 2025

Please consider supporting my Girls on the Run fundraiser for the 2024-25. Girls on the Run of the Bay Area is a phenomenal organization that is making real change in the lives of real girls. 85% of girls who participate in the program improved in confidence, competence, caring, character, and connection to others, and 97% of participating girls said they learned critical life skills. Our goal is that every girl be able to participate in the program, regardless of her family’s financial status. Donations go to support everything from need-based scholarships to coach training to new shoes for girls who can’t afford them. Every penny is budget-relieving for Girls on the Run of the Bay Area and ensures that our girls can continue to gain awareness of their own power and the positive impact they can have on themselves and the world around them.

Research shows that confidence in young girls peaks at nine-years-old, which means that confidence needs to be nurtured and supported, creating a foundation for girls to build upon for years to come. Girls on the Run understands this; it’s why I love Girls on the Run, why I coached for so many seasons, and why I continue to support the organization as both an Associate Board member and as a donor. Girls on the Run understands that everyone has limitless potential and that we need to protect and encourage that potential by connecting the mind and the body. This means that the lessons learned during practice are about so much more than being active and exercising. They are about understanding what makes each girl special and unique, learning to recognize and dismiss negative self-talk, and promoting healthy choices that fuel both the mind and the body.
