THE 14er CHALLENGE
This summer, 40+ participants will embark on a journey to summit Mt Massive (14,429’) and Mt Elbert (14,439’) over the course of two days. These fundraisers are choosing to tap into their inner superpowers, challenge themselves, and make a difference for girls. This will be a weekend mountain experience unlike any other, summiting two of the tallest peaks in Colorado.
THE GOAL
With each step and each dollar raised, every participant is working to create a better future for girls. Every climber has committed to raising $2,500 for Girls on the Run which provides scholarships for an ENTIRE TEAM of girls in 2025. By supporting these fundraising efforts, you are sending a message that you believe in these daring climbers AND you believe in the power of girls.
WHAT IS GIRLS ON THE RUN?
Girls on the Run is a 501(c)3 positive youth development program that combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls. Our core curriculum addresses many aspects of girls’ development – their physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. Lessons help girls make positive decisions to avoid risky adolescent behaviors. At the end of each program, the girls run a celebratory 5K to experience the exhilarating feeling of accomplishment. However, at Girls on the Run, the finish line is just the beginning, as our ultimate goal is to provide the girls with tools and resources that develop their ability to think critically - a skill that will serve them well for a lifetime.
